Hermes Accounting — a private tool of Exterior Art (Randall Beard). Effective June 19, 2026.
Hermes Accounting ("the App") is a private, single-company application operated by Exterior Art / Randall Beard ("we," "us"). The App connects only to our own QuickBooks Online company to read accounting data for internal billing reconciliation. The App is not offered to the public and does not have outside users.
Through Intuit's QuickBooks Online API, the App reads accounting information from our own company, including accounts-receivable aging, invoices, customers, and payment records. The App requests read-only access and does not create, modify, or delete data in QuickBooks.
Data is used solely to reconcile and report on our own outstanding invoices and billing. It is used internally and is not sold, rented, or shared with any third party.
The App runs locally on a private computer owned by Exterior Art. OAuth access tokens are stored in a restricted local file accessible only to the owner and are not published, committed to public repositories, or transmitted to third parties. Accounting data is processed locally and is not hosted on any public server.
We do not share accessed QuickBooks data with any third party. The only parties to any data exchange are Exterior Art and Intuit (QuickBooks Online).
Access can be revoked at any time from within QuickBooks Online (Apps → Connected Apps) or via the Disconnect page. Upon disconnection, stored tokens are deleted and the App can no longer access QuickBooks.
The App is a business tool and is not directed to children.
